At InPost, operational excellence and service reliability are at the core of our growth. As we continue to expand across Iberia, we are looking for a Linehaul Manager Iberia to lead and optimize all upstream linehaul transport operations within our distribution network.
This role is responsible for managing national and cross-border transport flows, ensuring reliable and cost-efficient parcel transit between sorting centers, transit platforms, production sites, suppliers and shipping customers. You will play a key role in guaranteeing transit times, adapting transport capacity to operational demand and maintaining high service quality standards.
We are seeking a results-driven and analytical professional with strong negotiation skills and solid experience in land transport subcontracting. Success in this role requires operational rigor, supplier management expertise and the ability to lead teams while staying aligned with the overall business strategy.
This position offers strong visibility within the Iberian transport organization and represents an excellent opportunity to grow within operations and supply chain leadership.
What responsibilities and objectives will you have?
Guarantee transit times between platforms (sorting centers and transit platforms) by adapting transport capacity to operational needs.
Select, purchase and negotiate transport services at optimal cost, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Integrate environmental and sustainability criteria into vehicle and provider selection.
Establish operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to ensure service quality, delivery deadlines, cargo integrity and optimal vehicle fill rates.
Set up, manage and continuously optimize the TMS and related systems used in linehaul management.
Ensure selected transport partners provide the required flexibility and service level.
Supervise linehaul transport and distribution operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the transport function.
Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and support strategic decisions.
Manage and develop the team under responsibility.
Act as operational interlocutor with clients when required.
Well, what will the requirements be?
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar transport or linehaul management role.
Proven experience in the management and subcontracting of land transport services.
Strong supplier negotiation skills and cost management capabilities.
Experience in team leadership and people management.
Solid understanding of TMS and WMS principles.
Analytical and tech-oriented mindset, with strong KPI monitoring capabilities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
High level of English (mandatory); additional languages are a strong advantage.
Degree or higher-level vocational training related to Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain.
