Transport Specialist

At InPost, we continue to grow our transport network across Iberia and Europe. To support our increasing shipment volumes and daily linehaul activity, we are looking for a hands-on Transport Specialist to manage and coordinate road transport operations between agencies and platforms.
Reporting to the Linehaul Manager Iberia, this is a highly operational and execution-focused role. You will be responsible for daily planning of collections and deliveries, real-time monitoring of transport flows, incident resolution, and ensuring all shipments move according to service standards and transit commitments.
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with solid experience in land transport operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment and feels comfortable managing multiple transport movements simultaneously.
What responsibilities and objectives will you have?
Plan, schedule and coordinate daily road transport operations between agencies and platforms.
Act as the main operational contact for Spain and coordinate transport flows between Iberia and the rest of Europe.
Assign cargo (from vans to full trailers), ensuring optimal capacity utilization.
Monitor pickups and deliveries in real time to guarantee compliance with agreed transit times.
Proactively detect, escalate and resolve transport incidents to minimize service disruption.
Maintain constant communication with carriers, agencies and internal teams to ensure operational alignment.
Operate the Transport Management System (TMS) for execution and tracking, ensuring data accuracy.
Ensure correct data entry, shipment status updates and reporting within the TMS.
Identify and evaluate new carriers to secure sufficient operational capacity.
Control transport costs and support operational optimization initiatives.
Verify and validate carrier invoices, ensuring consistency with agreed rates and executed services.
Ensure compliance with transport regulations, including CMR documentation and driving/rest time rules.
Well, what will the requirements be?
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar road transport or traffic coordination role.
Strong operational knowledge of land transport, CMR documentation and driving/rest time regulations.
Hands-on experience working with a Transport Management System (TMS).
Experience coordinating both national and international road transport movements.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Good understanding of cost control in transport operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Fluent Spanish and English (mandatory).
Highly organized, hands-on and solution-oriented profile.
Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with carriers and internal teams.
