The Labour Relations Manager is a key role within the Human Resources department, responsible for strengthening the relationship between the company and its employees, ensuring a work environment based on respect, equity, and compliance with labor regulations. This role is essential for implementing collective agreements, mediating labor disputes, and ensuring that internal policies reflect both the company's objectives and the needs of its employees.
The Labour Relations Manager will lead the implementation of collective agreements, resolve labor conflicts, and ensure compliance with labor laws. Additionally, they will work closely with the HR Lead Iberia, the HRBP Iberia, and other HR team members to align labor relations strategies with the company's overall goals.

What responsibilities and objectives will you have?
1. Implementation of Collective Agreements:
o Lead the implementation of collective agreements with unions or employee representatives, ensuring that terms are applied correctly and sustainably for both the company and its workforce.
o Collaborate with the HR Lead Iberia and the HRBP Iberia to align the implementation of agreements with HR strategies and business objectives.
2. Labor Conflict Resolution:
o Act as a mediator in labor disputes, both individual and collective, to prevent issues from escalating and affecting morale or productivity.
o Work closely with the HRBP Iberia to resolve disputes between employees or between employees and management.
3. Implementation and Update of Labor Policies:
o Ensure that labor relations policies are aligned with local and federal laws, reviewing and updating employee handbooks and internal policies in line with changes in labor regulations.
o Collaborate with HR Analytics & Operations to integrate these policies into HRIS systems and ensure compliance.
4. Legal and Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensure the company complies with all applicable labor laws, including collaboration with legal advisors and the HR department.
o Monitor changes in labor legislation and ensure the company adapts quickly to new requirements, with a focus on regulations in Spain and Portugal.
5. Training in Labor Relations Management:
o Organize and facilitate training sessions for supervisors and managers on how to effectively handle employee-related situations, such as performance evaluations or dismissals.
o Collaborate with the Talent Learning and Development Senior Manager to integrate these training sessions into leadership development programs.
6. Management of Union and External Advisor Relationships:
o Maintain ongoing relationships with union representatives and external legal advisors, ensuring that both the company and employees comply with established agreements and labor laws.
o Participate in formal and informal meetings to discuss emerging issues and propose solutions.
Well, what will the requirements be?
路 Education: Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law, Human Resources, Psychology, or related fields. A degree in Law is highly desirable.
路 Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in labor relations or human resources, preferably in highly unionized sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, or transportation.
路 Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of labor legislation in Spain. Knowledge of labor laws in Portugal is desirable.
路 Certifications: Certification as a Conciliator and Mediator of the Labor Court of Catalonia is highly desirable. Other certifications such as SHRM or CIPD are a plus
路 Negotiation Skills: Ability to lead the implementation of collective agreements and reach solutions that benefit both parties.
路 Empathy: Ability to understand employee concerns and needs, promoting an inclusive and respectful work environment.
路 Effective Communication: Ability to communicate policies and decisions clearly and accessibly, avoiding misunderstandings.
路 Conflict Resolution: Ability to mediate labor disputes and find quick and effective solutions.
路 Data Analysis: Ability to analyze metrics related to employee satisfaction and labor climate, using tools such as HRIS and Microsoft Excel.
