The Technical Specialist supports the team (remotely and occasionally on field) in understanding hardware and software problems related to the Lockers network, interfacing with the staff working in the field to maintain and repair the machines, coordinating their work to ensure efficient troubleshooting. The Technical Specialist provides second line support, attempting remote repair actions and investigating machine logs to understand the nature of faults. The role requires a technically competent candidate with excellent coordination and communication skills.
The Technical Specialist is based in Portugal (preferably Lisbon or Porto), operates mainly remotely, and occasionally carries out on-site interventions.
What responsibilities and objectives will you have?
- Acquire in-depth technical knowledge (both mechanical and software) of the Lockers.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities necessary to maintain the Lockers network in Portugal.
- Analyze resource performance, identifying areas for improvement and taking preventive or corrective actions to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the Lockers network.
- Perform root cause analysis of reported problems.
- Prepare and update procedures and documentation related to the operation and improvement of the Lockers network.
- Use internal software to monitor the performance and operation of the Lockers network.
- Conduct periodic checks on the operational status and performance of the Lockers, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company policies.
- Coordinate with the central technical team to resolve critical system issues.
- Coordinate with third-party providers, conducting training sessions and periodic audits.
Well, what will the requirements be?
- At least 2 or 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Preference for technical diplomas or similar.
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and the ability to understand complex systems.
- Previous experience in hardware and software maintenance roles for electronic equipment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze monitoring dashboards and system logs.
- Ability to coordinate technical personnel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in roles requiring the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to set and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish is mandatory, as the team is based in Spain and daily communication is primarily conducted in Spanish.
- Valid driving license (type B).
